Cross - Granny Square #2

This second Cross - Granny Square uses my Granny Pocket Prayer Cloth as a basis and then I worked it out to use the traditional Granny Square pattern for subsequent rounds.

3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1
join with sl st in top of 1st ch 3

Continue working subsequent rounds as for round 4; sl st to the first ch-1 sp, then ch 3, 2 dc in the same space.  Work 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in each corner ch-2 sp.  Work 3 dc in each ch-1 sp along each side separated by a ch 1.  Work as many rounds as needed for desired size.

Instructions were written for one color yarn.  If changing colors fasten off the end of each round, join new color with sl st in any ch-1 sp, then work corners and sides according to pattern.

Peace be with you

Cross - Granny Square

Earlier this week I had a message asking if my Granny Prayer Cloth could have rounds added so it could be used to make a blanket.  I used one color, but rounds 3 and 4 could be contrasting colors. Any worsted weight yarn and size G crochet hook can be used.
